Today I am reviewing Gevalia's French Roast. In all honesty, It's not my first time trying it. My grandmother joined Gevalia's coffee of the month club frequently! I don't mean she joined at two or three different times, I mean she liked getting the free coffee makers for each time you joined. So she received a lot of coffee throughout the month and her kids ended up with new coffee makers. It's funny as I write these words Jamey Johnson's "Lord Lead Me Home" just came across my Pandora radio. The words makes me look forward to seeing my little 4'11" grandma when I get to the other side.
I'm having my coffee black. I started a liver cleans today and I don't want to sabotage it. This coffee is not as strong as other French Roast I've tried. In case you haven't noticed in my past blogs I like my coffee as strong as possible. It has a bright taste, and the flavor really hangs on to the sides of the tongue after you swallow. I'm not sure if owns the claim "intensely dark, and complex". It does have a slight smokey flair that reminds me of the first cigar I smoked, which also reminded me of coffee.
I give Gevalia's French Roast a tentative 3 out of 5, I may need to re-review this one when I can indulge with creamer.
Interesting Coffee Fact: Maybe I need to cut back to 5 cups a day....
